Although we may look like the "new Kid on the block," our agents have been in the business and working your neighborhood for years! If our name is not yet familiar, our founding father certainly is. Howard Rooks has been a fixture in the real estate business since the late 1960's when he bought a small realty company in Washington, DC and grew Mount Vernon Realty to more than 3,500 agents in 35 offices. The company was the 13th largest independent brokerage in the country and the second largest in the DC area. In 1991, Mr. Rooks sold Mount Vernon Realty to Weichert Realty.
